If like me you have become utterly heartbroken by the images from Aleppo, torn between finding it too painful to watch and feeling utterly helpless but with an overwhelming urge to do something, then please join me in taking action to support those groups on the ground who are still able to make a difference. 

From the week of 14 November, I will be holding special yoga sessions in support of Hand in Hand For Syria’s Aleppo appeal. Some of my colleagues will be holding their own special events in support of this campaign in weeks to come.

Hand in Hand For Syria is a charity that delivers humanitarian aid - food and clothing, water and sanitation, and crucial medical aid - directly to those living under threat in extreme conditions inside Syria, using unique and extensive networks on the ground in Syria. They are one of the very few aid organisations still operating in Aleppo, a city which has been abandoned by almost everyone else due to the impossible conditions and extreme danger.
