We are a thriving Christian church seeking to repair & transform our medieval building

Story

We have done the race! 13 miles is a long way - brilliant fun though. Thank you so much to all those who have sponsored us. It is not too late if you haven't done so already, we will keep the page open to gifts for a few more days. Your money will go such a long way in Brazil. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor our run, which is in aid of 'My Father's House'. If you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now! In Brazil 25 million children live in extremely deprived conditions. 8 million of these live on the streets, forming gangs to survive, and many will be killed before they reach the age of 18. 'My Father's House' is a project linked to the Anglican Church of Living Waters which seeks to help and reach out to these boys. Our friend, Andy Roberts is a 23 year old who has left York to go and work on this project and they need all the support they can get. Please help us to do this.

About the charity

St Michael le Belfrey is a much loved church in the heart of York, seeking to undertake one of the most radical and beautiful transformations of a Grade 1 listed building, to repair and reorder the church for the next 100 years. It aims to deliver a far better equipped church and venue for the city.
