PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT TPLM HAS BEEN POSTPONED UP UNTIL APRIL 2010, HOWEVER. THE TEAM ARE CONTINUING TO TRAIN AND COLLECT DONATIONS!
Thanks for visiting GAC-Chevron's page.
GAC's Neil Godfrey, Sami Younis, Peter Osterman and Mark O’Callaghan will be putting pedal power to the test, together with Chevron’s Chris Hendry, Gareth Ogden and Gary Whitelaw, as part of Tour Pour La Mer 2010 to raise funds for The Mission to Seafarers.
They have already started training for the event that will see them pedalling from Antwerp to Rotterdam, and from Rotterdam to Amsterdam over a two-day period in September. Further details of the event are available from: http://www.tourpourlamer.com/
They are also hard at work drumming up support and pledges for sponsorship. All the funds raised will go direct to The Mission to Seafarers, which cares for the spiritual and practical welfare of all seafarers regardless of nationality or faith. They operate a network of chaplains, staff and volunteers in 230 ports worldwide, offering a welcome and whatever help may be needed.
This year marks the third time that GAC cyclists have taken part in the Tour Pour La Mer. Their past efforts resulted in the raising of almost £ 5,500 for The Mission to Seafarers.
