My name is Gary (Gaz). I have been studying theatre most of my life and I enjoy being involved in all aspects of entertainment from stage and circus to film and TV. I have been lucky enough to get a place at RADA in 2006 where I will be studying Theatre Technical Arts. My main interest right now is lighting design, but I am looking forward to learning about scenery building, costume making, sound recording and all the other skills that are needed to support the performers and director in making the entertainments that you enjoy.
The pressure and commitment of the course means that I and other students like me can not put aside regular time get a job like most students. And, as I will be living and studying in central London, the student loan with my parents' contributions is not enough to live on. The shortfall is £3,000 pounds a year. So far I've raised 800 pounds privately, and I hope your generosity will help support me in my studies.
I have set an initial target of £3,000, this is the minimum needed to live with no extras. It would be great to raise that amount and not have to worry, then I can put all my attention into the training. If however, you are generous enough to help me exceed that target, the additional money will be held over towards the funds I need for year 2.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Royal Academy of Dramatic Art will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
