We’re there for people in Sussex and East Surrey, with expert hospice care, when and where they need us most.
Our care is only possible thanks to the generosity of our local community who donate to and volunteer with us.
Community support means we’re there when life comes full circle.
Story
Unfortunately the day arrived that all of us feared and Gemma lost her fight to cancer after battling courageously for the past two years.
She was an amazing wife, daughter, sister, friend and more importantly a fantastic mummy to her 3 beautiful children and her strength, courage and bravery will live on through them.
Gemma spent the last few days of her life in the care of St Catherines Hospice, Crawley. ALL of the staff were so caring and supportive and ensured that she was as comfortable as possible in the little time that she had left.
One of Gemma’s wishes was to have lots of flowers at her funeral, but given how popular she was with the many friends she had, the amount of flowers on the day could be considerable. We would therefore ask that if you so wish, you might want to make a donation to St Catherine's Hospice so that they can continue the fantastic work that they do day in, day out.
Gemma will be greatly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have known her.
