We fund support, screening & research to help those affected by YSCD
Story
All,My dear and much loved friend Kevin Smart died suddenly from a rare heart condition in September 2007, aged 33. Since his death, Kev’s family have worked closely with the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) so that other families do not have to suffer similar tragedies.
In the coming months, I am going to run a couple of marathons in honour of Kev and to raise some much-needed funds for CRY. The first will take place on Sunday the 26th September in and the second will take place on Sunday the 03rd October in Loch Ness, Scotland. I’ve been training at altitude for the last eleven months so I’m expecting a podium finish at the very least…Please give all you can afford. Thank you for your support.Best wishes,GeoffFor more information about the important work undertaken by CRY visit the charity’s website: http://www.c-r-y.org.uk
Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.
