Story
On Saturday 6th June, I completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge along with 5 fellow Munitions grads. We are started at Ben Nevis (4409 ft) at dawn on Saturday 6th June, down to Scafell Pike (3209ft) and then drove through the night to climb Snowdon (3560ft) before dawn.
The challenge is to be completed in 24hrs.
We were successful, with a drive time of 10hrs, Ben Nevis conquered in 5hrs (despite the efforts of tourists, driving sleet and 10" of snow!), Scafell pike in 4hrs (including a session of night walking with head torches) and Snowdon in 4hrs 15mins (freezing cold, visibility down to 10m).
The overall time was 23hrs 15mins.
We would like to thank Tom O'Neill and Charlie Simpson for doing their share of driving between the mountains.
Thank you for your donation. If you are a UK taxpayer, you can boost your donation through gift aid (an additional gift from the Government!).
This charity is really close to me having had a really close friends father pass away with Cancer recently so lets put the money to good use!
