Story

Sponsor us because we humilated ourselves in front of millions on "live" TV in cumbersome costumes whilst running the 13.1 miles that is the Great North Run.

The race went very well and despite the very hot start inside the costumes it soon cooled down afer the 5 mile point when we started getting the sea breeze. We didnt manage any celebrity spotting during running, perhaps mainly due to the fact it was impossible to see much at all through the costume eye holes, however Ian and Dom spotted Tammey Grey-Thompson handing out water at one of the water stations.

We also surpassed our aim (which was to appear on TV and finish the race) by being interviewed live on BBC ONE, getting a mention on BBC Radio ONE, appearing on the Metro radio website, 2 paper articles due to come out in the next week or so and we finished in just under 3.5 hours

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Rainbow Trust Children's Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
