Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Sitting here having completed 329 miles over 4 days and shared the ride with 129 others.
The last 4 months have been amazing from getting to revisit old friendships and to find out how many people have been touched by heart related issues. The training for this and the up and the 329 miles have been put into context by this and as I have said before I have been deeply touched by peoples generosity and support.
At this point I really must thank my family for their amazing support and patience by surviving without me not only during the week (that's been normal for toooo long!) but also now part of our weekends. I must also admit to becoming a complete cycling bore (I am also doing the ride with Jeremy, and I am sure that Nicola is facing the same fascinating tales of horrific hills and sore ........)
Donations have been amazing and have now passed my revised target of £3000.
Finally, to put your minds at rest you will all be relieved to hear that I have fully recovered from my horrific 5mph crash in which I managed to mash my knuckles (gloves now worn as standard). Sorry Iain couldn't resist!
For those not yet aware I am taking part in the London to Paris Cycle Challenge 2009 on 09/09/2009 to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young, specifically the 'Hannah Turberville Memorial Fund' and I'd really appreciate your support in raising money for this very worthwhile cause.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cardiac Risk in the Young gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
