Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. One Family UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Zion Shitrit, 23 years of age, was paralysed from the chest down when a suicide bomber blew himself up in the Hadera open air market 2 years ago, killing 6 and injuring scores more. Zion was unconscious and in intensive care for 60 days. Following his rehabilitation, doctors diagnosed paralysis and warned Zion that he would never walk again.

Despite this warning, with the help of One Family, Zion attended a special holistic rehabilitation clinic in London where a therapist has treated Zion and stated that he will help him to walk. Following a week's treatment, Zion regained feeling in his toes and the therapist has stated that he hopes Zion will be walking again within 2 years.

Zion will need many more treatments which he is unable to fund himself. I have competed in the Asics British 10k London Run and completed this run in 54 minutes!!! I ran especially to help Zion and I kindly ask you to help me raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile cause. All donations are gratefully accepted. If you have not yet donated, please would you kindly do so as soon as possible.

Many thanks for your support to everyone who donated and any future donors! Zion should be arriving in London in the next coming few weeks to continue with the next stage of his treatment.
