Story

A few words about Gillian Egan - nee Lovie  (my Aunt Gillie), who very sadly passed away suddenly and without warning, on Saturday November 8th 2008, at the age of 67.

Gillie was brought up on a series of tea plantations, mainly in Upper Assam, India.  She adored the country of her birth and the sound of the tiger, often heard calling at night, was something very familiar, that she could never forget.  Her love of this wonderful animal remained for the rest of her life and the fact that they are now considered an endangered species was of huge sorrow to her.

Any donation you might feel able to make towards helping preserve and perpetuate the existence of these wonderful animals would be greatly appreciated; also supporting Gillie’s great love for these majestic beasts.

Thank you so very much for your support.

About the charity

WPSI, founded by Belinda Wright, supports wildlife conservation issues throughout India, campaigning for and protecting endangered species, notably the tiger, by investigating poaching networks and the escalating illegal wildlife trade. It encourages law enforcement and prosecution by government authorities, and gives material support, training and information to India's remaining tiger reserves.
