I am delighted that I managed to complete the race in 55 mins & 45 seconds - well within my one hour target! J

I was greeted at the start line by thunder, lightning and torrential rain - althougha as we got under way this settled down to a light drizzle, which wasn't too bad.  The low point was being overtaken on a hill by one runner pushing a pram - the high point was sprinting down the home straight to pick up 6 places!

Thanks to everyone who sponsored me - I have raised over £410 via the justgiving site (including gift aid) and a further, very generous £250 has been donated by Hymans Robertson - actuaries to the Action for Children pension scheme. I now hope to add to this with £500 of matched funding from LTSB and, potentially, some additional sponsorship from the Two Castles race organisers - Rotary International.
