We offer support to breast cancer patients to ensure no one goes through cancer alone

Story

In June 2001, Jane Robinson (Daniel’s mother) was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer.  Jane went through chemo and radiotherapy until 2005 when she had a localised reoccurrence in her neck.  In December 2006, she developed secondary cancer in her bones (skull, spine and ribs).  This was treated with palliative chemo and radiotherapy.  In October 2007, the cancer had spread to her lungs, neck and lymph nodes.  Further chemotherapy was necessary.  On 3 December 2008, Jane Robinson passed away.

Throughout Jane’s struggles, Breast Friends Sutton Coldfield provided Jane and her family with support in a number of ways; all ironing was done externally, a wheelchair was provided and a hospital bed was setup on the ground floor of her home for when she was too ill to make it upstairs.
