Graham is stuck in traffic to the airport - not the best start to a mammoth trek!
All the preparation that can be done has been done. Boots, coat, gloves and thermals are packed and he's on his way, having not only reached but passed his target of £2500 - the hard work now begins.
Graham wishes to thank everyone who has contributed to the fund raising efforts so far. A special mention must go to RP MARTIN for all their help.

The background to the trek:
In October, Essex cricketer Graham Napier will take part in a 15 day trek to Everest Base Camp with the Professional Cricketers Association to raise funds for the PCA Benevolent Fund.
Graham needs to raise a minimum of £2,500 but is aiming to double this figure. You can help by sponsoring him.
Graham says, "I have decided to brave the elements and experience the thinning of oxygen just when I will need it most. It means suffering blisters and burning muscles to not only reach one of the world's most renowned and remote places by foot but to help raise much needed money for the PCA Benevolent Fund. Please sponsor me today"
For more info about the trek and the fund visit http://www.thepca.co.uk/everest
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: PCA Benevolent Fund Limited will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
