13/09/10 Well, yesterday was the big day, and I completed the half marathon in 2 hours and 12 minutes. Thank you so much to everyone for your messages of support. And please keep the donations coming in - it's such a great cause, and in memory of someone so special.

I am running the Robin Hood half marathon on Sunday 12th September in memory of Sara, who died last year.

Sara was born with Crigler Najjar Type I, an extremely rare liver defect that affects approximately 0.6 per million live births. She was unable to break down the bilirubin in her blood, and so relied on phototherapy when she was younger, and more recently had two liver transplants. She sadly lost her battle with the condition in the early hours of 24th May 2009.

I will be raising money for the Children's Liver Disease Foundation www.childliverdisease.org which helps young people with liver disease to to take control of their lives and achieve their full potential.
