Story

Having successfully raised £10 million towards the construction of the Morgan Stanley Clinical Building at Great Ormond Street Hospital, we are now fundraising for a new project chosen by employees - the purchase of an angio bi-plane machine that will be used in an operating theatre within the new building.

An angio bi-plane machine uses medical imaging techniques to visualise three-dimensional images of the vessels and organs of the body. This high-tech equipment will be used in around 2,000 procedures each year and will allow for surgery that is more accurate and a more flexible service for patients.

The total cost of an angio bi-plane is £1.1 milllion - hence the new fundraising target total of £11.1 million.

GOSH treats more than 100,000 patients a year and is a national centre of excellence in the provision of specialist children's health care, currently delivering the widest range of specialist care of any children's hospital in the UK. It is the only specialist biomedical research center for pediatrics, the largest center in the UK for children with heart or brain problems and the largest center in Europe for children with cancer.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor this appeal.  If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
