We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Gough Allen Stanley has been a media and platinum sponsor for the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes for the last two years.  We originally got involved through one of clients, Drayton Manor Theme Park where the walk is held. After seeing the heartache and years of treatment children have to face, as well as the suffering of their parents, we felt we had to get involved to do as much as we can to help find a cure.

On October 4th 2009, all our employees will be taking part in ‘Walk to Cure Diabetes’. This five mile sponsored walk is taking place at Drayton Manor Theme Park and will help raise funds to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in their mission to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. This form of diabetes strikes children suddenly and although it can be managed with insulin there is no cure for its eventual and devastating complications which can include kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, stroke and amputation.  Okay, so it is only 5 miles, but every bit counts!

Sponsoring us through this site, is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us; Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many thanks for your support.
