Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  Please sponsor this great cause.  I have never run a marathon before but always wanted to!  I just thought I'd wait until I'd turned 40 to make it more of a challenge - what an idiot!  I think the next 6 months will go very quick.  I have a lot to learn and will listen to anyone who can give me any advice - God I need it! 

My choice for the charity was an easy one.  My Dad passed away in August 09 from a cancer-related illness.  Despite what he himself was going through, the real pain he suffered was seeing young lads having to go through the same treatment and knowing that there was no guarantees for these guys.  Although this affected him deeply it epitomised the old fella - in that despite whatever he was going through he was always more concerned for others.
