The Great Facebook Race started off as a simple race between boys and girls. To make it truly worthwhile I decided to create a charity drive. The first group to reach £10,000 wins. As this started as a battle of the sexes it made sense for one of the charities to be specifically for women. Refuge do fantastic work within the community, ensuring that all women and children have somewhere to turn to when in need of protection from domestic abuse, whatever forms it may take.
