Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year I got the Guinness World Records as 'Fastest marathon dressed as a doctor' at the London Marathon 2019.

I am also finishing the year by attempting my first sub 80 minute half marathon in Manchester! (and on this occasion I won't be dressed as a doctor!)

I decided to dress as a doctor in tribute to all the medical staff at St Ann's who played such a vital role in ensuring my dads palliative care was dignified and the best it could be at such a difficult time.

This latest challenge pushed me to the limit. The time to beat was 2 hr 53 min 11 sec. I had only ran a quicker marathon once before. My aim was achieved and I broke the Guinness World Record, helping raise more vital funds for St Ann's (which is needed daily for the Hospices to operate), as well as getting closer to our £16,000 family target in memory of my dad, H. Ian Kelly.

A massive thanks to all who have donated & supported our fundraising so far.
