Story
View The Mark Gorry Foundation Facebook Page for updates on the scary hair growth and stories from the fundraisers.
Thanks for taking the time to visit the 'growabeardforgorry' JustGiving page which has been set up to raise money to help the Mark Gorry Foundation towards its target of raising £1m for the Clatterbridge centre for Oncology.
The aim is simple, 22 of Mark Gorry's friends and collegues will not shave for a whole month between 1st November and 30th November. Facial hair growth will amuse many of us and hopefully you too, for this, we ask you to donate whatever you can on this page for the Clatterbridge centre of Oncology.
The Mark Gorry foundation is currenty in formation and will be working with Checkemlads.com and The Testicle Tour and has two very important goals, each equally as important as the other;
To raise early awareness in men to ‘check themselves’ for any changes in their testes and to also raise awareness of a number of other symptoms that indicate the possibility of testicular Cancer, such as;
• A lump or mass in either testicle
• Any enlargement or swelling of a testicle
• A collection of fluid in the scrotum
• A dull ache in the lower abdomen, back, or in the groin
• A feeling of heaviness in the scrotum
• Discomfort or pain in a testicle or in the scrotum
• Enlargement or tenderness of the breasts
To raise £1 Million for the Clatterbridge Centre of Oncology.
The aim of the money is to further aid research and to make the centre as pleasant a place to be for both in patients and visitors. This includes investing in further support mechanisms such as Clic Sargent.
This page will be used to contribute to the £1m fundraising effort the Mark Gorry Foundation will ensue to meeting that target.
