This is Colin's 4th Mac having partnered Mark Avo for the last 2 years and Russ Brown in year 1. Last year saw us forsaking my small Defender and using Mark's comfortable and reliable Toyota Land Cruiser. This year we have compromised - kept the comfort but not the reliability and are using a 1996 Discovery!   

The Mac 4x4 is a long distance navigation, orienteering and observational challenge over 3 days, on and off road and potentially over the whole country, if not further! 2008 saw us in England, Wales, Eire, Northern Ireland and Scotland! We do not know our route until we are given the roadbook for the next section! There are no posh hotels and we camp overnight - fun in early March!

This is the 9th Mac 4x4 and so far it has raised over £500,000 for Macmillan cancer support. All funds raised go direct to Macmillan, Graham and I are covering all entry, fuel and vehicle costs. For more details about the event please have a look at http://www.mac4x4.co.uk/
