Dear Friends,

Netty and Penny are running the London Marathon in aid of Prostate UK. Prostate disease affects one in two men  at some stage in their lives and prostate cancer kills one man every hour in Britain. Prostate UK seek to limit the damage this causes by raising awareness, providing information and financing both medical research and the training of healthcare professionals.

The cause is very dear to our hearts as not only do we work with men and their familiies affected by prostate cancer, but we have both had friends and family members affected by the disease. We are pleased to be able to help with all the work the charity do to support men and their families, and to contribute to finding better treatments for all prostate diseases.

Running 26.2 miles is a scary prospect and we are so grateful for all your support and encouragement. We will be so happy to see you along the route cheering us on and sincerely hope that you will also be able to sponsor our endeavours.

We are also planning a number of fun social fundraising events and would be delighted to see you there. We are organising an Irish Ceilidh at the Gypsy Hill Tavern on Saturday 10th April (8-late) and a Fun Quiz Night at The Horseshoe Inn, SE1 on Thursday 25th March.
