2010 is a big year for me.  I've set my self a personal goal of competing and completing a Triathalon middle distance event which I've now entered and booked into my diary in June.  The event will take place in Bala with an initial swim of 2Km in the bitterly cold waters of Llyn Tegid and then a 80Km Bike section with full Aero kit and funny hat and then a half marathon run to finish me off.  Its going to be a big challenege for me as I've got to learn to swim front crawl first !!

In preperation for this mamoth adventure I've entered a number of run / bike events and decided to do my bit and give something back to charity in the process.  I'm looking to get £150+ sponsorship for running the Bath Half Marathon.  I know I can run a half marathon because I've done 3 in 2009 each achieving a new PB with my fastest effort being in Cardiff wich is a fast flat course of 1:35:02.

Bath half marathon will be the first HM run of 2010 so my goal is to make it a good one and hopefully improve again on my PB.  This will be a difficult task as its not a flat course.

This is not the first time I've raised money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.  In 1996 I raised over £500 to sponsor a dog named Beth by setting skating challenge to in-line skate from Bristol to Bath and back and running a lottery bonus ball competition over 2 months.

I would really appreciate any donations from Friends and family or anyone else who knows me and promise not to do any more sponsored events and as for more cash again during 2010.
