If I was a millionaire... I would do lots of things, but one thing I would do would be to give a big bag of money to charities in Vietnam that give disadvantaged Vietnamese youths access to education, healthcare, training and opportunities they need in order to have some form of future.

However, I am not a millionaire (well not in terms of the GBP) so I can't do that. The only other way to ensure these charities that I care about are constantly receiving money to fulfil their goals, is to do something personally challenging and hope that kind people like yourself will think "Wow, that is a really good cause and she definitely deserves a donation from me".

Even though I have lived in Vietnam for nearly 1 year now, I could see the suffering that goes on in this country after about 1 minute. 

In April 2015, myself and 19 other volunteers will be cycling 1,250 miles from Hanoi in the North of Vietnam to Ho Chi Minh City in the South. As well as seeing beautiful country side and experiencing true Vietnam, we will be riding side by side with lorries, fighting aches and pains, probably getting burnt by the blistering Vietnamese sun and sleeping in minus 5 star accommodation.

My personal target is $1,000 (£660). Please help me reach this by making a small (or a big) donation. It is for a fantastic cause. 

Remember 1,250 miles is like cycling from John O'Groats to Land's End and then back up to York!

All of the money we raise will be going to a number of charities within Vietnam:

• Saigon Children's Charity who help the most disadvantaged children in Vietnam to escape from poverty through education and training
  
• KOTO (Know One, Teach One) who are a training centre giving disadvantaged youths the possibility to learn the skills of the hospitality industry
  
• Live and Give who build anything from primary schools to fish ponds to working toilets in the poorest parts of Vietnam
  
• ILACN (ILA Community Network) who provide free education to ill and disadvantaged people in Vietnam
  

Please note that every penny of your donations will go directly to these charities. I am not going to take it and use it for 5 star hotels, an engine for my bike or a 3 course meal every evening. I have paid for my bike, accommodation and bike equipment (actually my dad gave me my jazzy cycling leotards), and I will be paying for all of my expenses on the ride itself.
