Fundraising for Action for Children
Story
We’re IT geeks with a cause… We're sleeping rough for a night* to raise money and awareness for Action for children and change the course of young lives in just 1 night.
Imagine you’re born into a broken family, family with a drug addiction or mental disorder, it’s inevitable right, I bet you’re saying it to yourself right now “I’d leave”?
The truth is that this is what most kids do and this is where most homelessness begins (is it chicken or egg?). Our hearts sank when we read some of the stories, when we discussed each case in detail* and even at our age we couldn’t come up with a solution (have a read at just one of many stories):

Reading this I'm sure you can't even imagine it and no matter how hard we try in our story above you will never know what it feels like or how it could possibly happen to someone you know.
…and that’s the reason we're doing this, not just to raise money but awareness too, for people who, unlike us, don't have much left...but they do have their youth and there's no better way to do it than do it with them and see what its like to "hit the streets" as a sleeper roughing it with them.
Count your pennies, empty out the old Car Ashtray of brown coins and that draw in the office that holds your paperclips (and coins I’m sure too)
Dig deep people, go large. Skip that beer down the pub. That devils chocolate dessert you’re picking up in your weekly shop or just that pack of crisps you were going to buy just that very second.
Donate to Action for children and watch us sleep the streets of London for a night.
