Story

Please - share with all your friends and family... And Dig as Deep as you can!

From the two that brought you the three peaks challenge for the 2015
festival, John and Tom are at it again. We’re here to help the Masonic
Charitable Foundation make a bigger impact in 2026. Weather it’s bush fires in Australia, a hurricane in the Bahamas, victims of the Ukrainian war, Floods in Bangladesh or Diabetes UK… we want to keep on helping however we can. This time we’re walking coast to coast clear across England, fittingly along the path of Britain’s largest example of stone masonry - the historic Hadrians Wall.

We’ve chosen to do this challenge the hard way by never leaving The Wall till the job is done and camping out on the route as we go - no hotels, no guest houses, come rain or shine. The trail is 84 miles and were extending that total to atruely daunting 90 miles. The guide says
the average person needs between 6 and 7 days for the basic walk. Probably more for the average Mason! To set a real challenge we’re going for the hard charge and aim to traverse the whole span in just 4 days.

We will be supported day to day (and fed) by members of our own Someries Lodge #5202 - Rich and Dom with family setting up camp along the way - making a real team effort by the lodge.

If you feel this epic challenge is a worthy effort, please sponsor us to show your support and put a spring in what is sure to be a weary step come the end of the trail.

We are acutely aware times are hard for everyone and things are tight - but that’s precisely why giving whatever you can, as generously as you can is so important right now. This is the time where we simply must help as much as possible.

Thank you for reading - and your kind support. Absolutely all monies raised by this event will go to very good causes.

John, Tom, Rich and Dom.
