Story
The three of us are all members of King's College School Combined Cadet Force and after having done our Duke of Edinburgh Gold training, and planning, we decided that with this experience we could do something similar to raise money for charity.
The walk itself will take place over four days, during this time we will be camping and carrying all of our own kit. The route is approximately 84 miles long, which means we will be travelling around 21 miles a day. We will begin our walk from Bowness-on-Solway and finish at Wallsend.
Our charity is Help for Heroes (http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/). They raise money in support of wounded members of the armed forces. In doing this they have provided funding for rehabilitation of amputees by building centres such as the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centres (DMRC) at Headley Court and Personal Recovery Centres across the U.K. More information is available on their website.
We would really appreciate any donations, however small, in order for us to reach our amitious target of £1000.
Thank you very much!!
