 ** PLEASE SPONSOR ME TO CUT /NOT CUT MY HAIR! **

All money to Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, the donations decide whether my hair goes or stays  click 'DONATE NOW' and be sure to write CUT! or NO CUT!  in your comment box, the vote with the highest total donation value wins...

Cutting hair for charity is not a new idea, there are a few things however that make this particular sponsored haircut/hairkeep extra special;

Firstly, the charity that the sponsorship money will go to is the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.  If you have ever visited the hospital, or even just watched the television programme, you will know that it is definitely a most worthy cause.

Secondly, I will not just be shaving off an inch or two of an ordinary crop:  As the picture shows, through a strange mixture of dedicated stupidity and laziness I have managed to grow knotty hair past my shoulders over the past five yearsAll the hair in the picture is my own and, potentially, it all shall be cut off.  That's a lot of hair.

This started as just a sponsored haircut for charity but a few people have said to me that they don't want to see it go, so it's only fair to make a bit of a competition out of it.  If, once the money stops coming in, the "CUT" vote donates the most money, I shall cut off all my hair and look even weirder...  If "NO CUT" donates the most, I shall keep growing my hair at least TO MY ELBOWS, meaning that as I finish Uni you shall send me out into the world looking like an idiot.  Funny either way.

Finally, as those who have known me for a while will know, I have a personal connection to the charity - the staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital looked after me very well throughout a great deal of my childhood.  They sorted my legs so I could do all the silly things that I do to hurt myself all on my own.  I will be forever indebted to them so it would be great if you could help me give a little something in return.

This is where this site comes in; donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  Just click on 'donate now' to sponsor me.  It is the most efficient way to sponsor Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC), they will receive the money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

If you would rather pay by cheque then please make it payable to "Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity" and either give it to me or send it to GOSHCC, Freepost LON20107, London WC1N 3AJ.  Everyone can keep track of the total donations at this site.

I hope, whatever the outcome, that this raises some real money.  Being in hospital is rubbish, but toys, computers and good people make it a little better.
