Myself & Alison have taken leave of our senses and challenged ourselves to undertake the awesome challenge of the Rat Race Half Mucker in May 2014! This is a 13 mile race that includes 150 obstacle courses! There will be 13 miles, mud, cold water and monkey bars! 

Alison and I have been a little exercise adverse but last year both took up and found a love of running. This common ground, and the need for a personal challange to work towards ended up with us (foolishly!) agreeing to enter the Rat Race! 

We have a total of seven months to train, for the Half Mucker. We are going to need some grit, peppered with determination and a healthy dose of upper-body strength! Something Alison and I seriously lack! There will be 15 zones thrown at us, to make this a relentless combination of tackling obstacles interspersed with running!!! 

And we plan to do it all to raise money for our personal Charities! Having had a family member of mine who has successfully fought Hodgkin's lymphoma, I am raising money for this charity for all the work and research they do to help beat Blood Cancers.
