Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We've decided to finally take the plunge into the world of exercise and decided to start at the bottom with a Marathon!

We decided over sunday lunch that the London Marathon sounded like a fun thing to do and we love a good challenge, so here we are running over 26 miles in just a few weeks time. We've trained through wedding planning, freezing temperatures, snow, injuries and exams and now we really need your support.

We've decided to run in aid of Heart UK- The Cholesterol Charity. They are a great charity who are passionate about preventing premature deaths due to heart disease and high cholesterol. They help raise awareness, fund research into new treatments and help train health professionals. Most importantly they support people with high cholesterol and heart disease, particularly those with familial hypercholesterolaemia (inherited high cholesterol) who are at increased risk of heart disease at a much younger age.

The amount of heart disease in our family is quite shocking (you know who you are!) and so it is a cause close to our hearts. It is also a huge part of GP work which one of us spends their days doing, so any charity helping to raise awareness is fantastic. We are aiming to raise £3000 which seems as big a challenge as running all those miles but it will be well worth it.
