We help people with a learning disability to live their lives as they choose.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mencap gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Over the weekend of 24th -26th July 2009, a group of brave Travis Perkins staff (including me!!!) will be taking over the Lake District, undertaking a unique challenge called "Beat the Moon". The challenge involves 20 miles of cycling, 9 miles of trekking Scafell Pike, Canoeing across Wast Water and running for 1 mile to the finish line before the Moon comes up. The duration of the challenge is approximately 11 hours.

Monies raised from this event will go to Travis Perkins nominated charities, Action for Children and Mencap. Both charities need your support to continue the vital work that they do. I know everyone is keeping an eye on the pennies at the moment but your donation will really help, spare what you can. Think of me training for the next 3 months... if that's not enough to donate at least a quid, i don't know what is!!

So please sponsor me now!

Thanks in anticipation of your support
