Hi Everyone!

Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page!

Ok... so that's clearly not quite me in the picture on the left... i don't look great in lycra. That is me on the right however and i'm hoping you'll make it down to support me on the day, or at least join me for a beer afterwards.... if i'm still standing!

So i've wanted to run the London Marathon for sometime now, but being at uni for 4 years followed by my gruelling stint at Aldi means there hasn't really been a suitable time for me to commit to the training.... but now there's NO excuses, and better still the Marathon this year falls on my 25th birthday, so a momentous occasion all round! There's an argument to say there are better things one could do to celebrate their birthday but i'm confident it will pull in as much support as possible on the day from friends and family.

My training's going pretty well... had my first taster of a race last November when i took part in the Great South Run in Portsmouth. Fitting in 4 runs a week is proving tough especially with my hefty commute to work everyday, but i'm getting there with the help of various running buddies and mapmyrun.com which i LOVE. Have a couple of half marathons planned between now and the big day, so i'm confident i'll be as prepared as i can be.

I know that everyone's feeling the pinch right now, but i'm hoping as many of you as possible will dig deep and support a truly wonderful charity and the mad distance i'll be running on the day.
