Story
Last year I visited Corrymeela Community as the Sikh Co-ordinator with Faith Matters bringing with me a group of Sikhs and Muslims to explore the nature and depth of tensions between the two communities as well as mediate and reduce any such tensions.
I was so impressed by the Corrymeela set up, I wanted to do my bit, so I decided to run 26.2 miles for it. Hopefully, people who learn of how a Sikh who came, saw and was touched by Corrymeela and its incredible track record will give generously to enable its good work to continue.
As the coach of the two oldest Marathon runners in the world, Fauja Singh, 97 holder of a dozen records and Buster Martin, who ran last year's London Marathon at the age of 101, both gentleman have been kind enough to donate signed sporting mementos for auction and these proceeds will also go to Corrymeela. To bid on memorabilia please e-mail belfast@corrymeela.org or call 028 9050 8080 for more information.
