Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Another year, another challenge: this time cycling from London to Paris for Kidney Research UK. To raise funds for this charity, on September 9th 2009 me and my bike will leave London, pedaling like a demon. I will cycle via Kent, then across the channel to Calais, Abbeville and Beauvais, finishing up at the Eiffel Tower having eaten twenty thousand croissants, two hundred croque monsieurs and several gallons of cafe au lait.
So please help me raise these much needed funds by sponsoring me - I need to raise £1,000 by 17th June....
Kidney Research UK is a charity close to my heart and my one functioning kidney. I also wish to raise funds in memory of an old and dear college friend and kidney transplant patient, Gary Raynsford, who sadly died last year.
Over 3 million people in the UK are threatened with chronic kidney disease and no one knows when kidney disease may strike which is a pretty scary thought. And as a charity Kidney Research UK really do rely on people funding more research to save lives from kidney disease.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kidney Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please, please, please sponsor me now!
Thank you!
