At the end of July I will try to swim solo across the Channel. Depending on the weather and tidal conditions, this could take me between 12 and 18 hours. The shortest distance is 22 miles (40 Km), but varying currents could mean I have to swim a lot furthur. Hopefully the water temperature will be a little warmer than what i'm currently training in, which is 11 degrees C (50 F).
