Story

We arrived at John O Groats 7.30 pm on Wednesday 16th. 1020 miles in 13 days. We have received the most superb hospitality and kindness throughout. Donations are still coming off and online. This is fantastic news for us and all who will benefit from your donations. This has been a very special adventure and we are really pleased that our efforts are helping Headway and people whose lives have been changed by circumstances beyond anyones control..

Hi - My name is Bob Wilson. I am a fundraiser for Headway Oxford. On 4th June I am setting off with two friends Nick Lemm and Peter Hughes. We are fulfilling the dream of cycling from Land's End to John O' Groats. The distance -somewhere around 950 miles. This will be no mean feat as none of us are in the first flush of youth in fact our combined age is 184 years!!

Money raised will be used in our work with people who have an acquired brain injury. The brain is a very complex and delicate organ. Injury can quite easily be sustained whether it be by accident, assault, haemorrhage, tumour or stroke. The effects can be devastating not only for the individual but also for family and friends. We provide a range of services both in the community and at our two day centres in Oxfordshire. We aim to tailor these services to individual needs to enable independence and quality of life. A life saved needs to be a life worth living. Please help our cause.
