Story

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I am doing a 3 bridges walk in London on Sunday 19th October to raise money for JoLt (Journey of a Lifetime Trust).

For those who don't know, I took part on one of their journeys 16 years ago and travelled the Silk Route across China and Pakistan with a group of 24 disabled people and it was a massive challenge for each one of us to travel in Pakistan and China in 1992 with each country having limited awarenss of disability (access was extremely poor) and together we got through it!  The journey was a big learning curve for each one of us and we took away our own experiences.

There were lots of memorable moments and the one which sticks out at the moment was the time we were travelling in Pakistan trying to get to Islamabad by coach. We stopped at little towns and every time we stopped crowds of people came out to see 'disabled people' and it was a very daunting experience especially when the police had to come out to control the crowd!

I would like your help in raising money to support JoLt so that they can send out another group in July 2010.

Please sponsor me by donating through Justgiving.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Journey of a Lifetime Trust (JoLt) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support
