Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As you probably already know, we are hoping to do a number of things this year to help raise money for what we think is a really worthy cause - The 'Joshua in Malawi Trust'.

This trust supports community driven, sustainable development projects to assist HIV/AIDS orphans, vulnerable children and their families in Malawi. Joshua is running an ever expanding programme of education, health, feeding, water and income-generation projects to address orphans needs. They involve both local people, and international volunteers on working holidays.

In October, Lucy will be going with her school as a volunteer to work with the trust to help support the building of a school in Malawi. Before they can build this school, they have to finish raising the finance so we want to do our bit to help.

One of the activities we will be doing is to cycle from London to Paris (230 miles over 3 days!) to celebrate a friend's birthday - so we thought we would use this opportunity to raise some money for the trust.

If you are visiting this page to sponsor us for the ride or for any other reason, we would like you to know that your support for our chosen charity is very much appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
