Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In November 2010 I will be taking part in a challenge of a lifetime. Cycling 400km through Vietenam to Cambodia over 6 days to raise money for Make A Wish Foundation. This will be both a physically and mentally demanding trip, with the average day time temperature between 25-30°C and the average humidity at 75-79% .
The 400km route is over 6 days and will take us through many traditional Vietnamese villages, following gorgeous streams and rivers, passing paddy fields and adjacent to stunning mountains, taking us away from the normal tourist track.
Below is a brief Itinery, starting in Vietnam and finishing in Cambodia:
Day 1 cycling 52km - Ho Chi Minh city - Ben Tre - Tra Vinh
Day 2 cycling 80km - Tra Vinh - Can Tho
Day 3 cycling 95km - Can Tho - Lai Vung - Long Xuyen - Chau Doc
Day 4 cycling 20km - Chau Doc- Phnom Penh
Day 5 cycling 89 km - Phnom Penh - Kompong Tom
Day 6 cycling 60km - Kompong Thom - Sambo Prei Kuk - Siem Reap
So please make a donation, no matter how big or small, it will all help make a childs life that little bit happier.
Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. Make-A-Wish was founded in the UK in June 1986 and, since then, we have granted over 5,300 wishes. At any given time, over 20,000 children in the UK are living with life-threatening conditions and our aim is to grant 21 wishes a week by the year 2010. Whether a wish is to be a princess or a policeman for a day, own the latest computer equipment, meet a favourite celebrity or just enjoy some special time away from home with their family, a wish come true brings so much to a child's life and provides memories for the family that last a lifetime.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Make-A-Wish Foundation UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
