Story
Welcome to my fundraising page!!
I have not done anything like this in my life before and a lot of us are very skeptical about donations.
My daughter Tessa who is 24 years old and she has been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. She has just finished University and starting her life. It is a sad and shocking news but has to be dealt with somehow.
We are therefore taking part in the Walk for Fun in which all the funds raised will go to Jo's Trust. It is a charity that provides information and support for those affected by Cervical Cancer, their families and friends. A lot of girls her age and younger do not know much or anything about cervical cancer. I firmly believe that they should be made aware by more screenings and tests.
The walk is taking place on Sunday 27th of April 2008. The route takes us over Westminster Bridge, along the Southbank and past the London Eye so it should be a nice day out and unlike a run it is not very strenuous so no training involved.
We'd love to see you there but your donations will go to a great cause.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Jo's Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
UPDATE
You have been so kind and generous so I have increased my target. Thank you so much for all your support and there's still time to make your donations.
27th of April 2008 - Walk for Fun in London was a success even though the weather was not very cooperative - it did rain.
Tessa had the MRI on the 25th of April but still waiting for the results and she is scheduled for her surgery on the 15th of May. We will keep you updated and many thanks for all your support again and again.
