WINNING BALLOT TICKET FOR ALL THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTED - NUMBER 125 - JOHN MOORE - WELL DONE
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Perhaps you watched the Ross Kemp in Afghanistan series, this was one of my inspirations to support Help for Heroes.
Cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats is the furthest possible distance in the British Isles and is a challenge many only dream of. Starting at Land's End on the south westerly tip of England, I pedal my way through Cornwall, over Dartmoor and north along the Welsh Border, skirting the Lake District via Lochs and mountains to the North coast and John O'Groats.
I will cover almost 1000 miles in 12 days .....
DAY 1: Cycle from Lands End through Cornwall
DAY 2: Cross into Devon and over the tough climbs of Dartmoor
DAY 3: Through Somerset; cross Severn Bridge to Wye Valley
DAY 4: Hereford to Shrewsbury
DAY 5: Cheshire bypassing busy towns to Preston
DAY 6: Long climb over Shap Fell through Carlisle to Scottish border
DAY 7: Cross into Scotland at Gretna; to Kilmarnock
DAY 8: Along coast; loch-side cycle to Inverary
DAY 9: Via highlands and castles through Fort William to Loch Lochy
DAY 10: Via Loch Ness to moorlands and Bonar Bridge
DAY 11: Through remote hills and moorland to north coast
DAY 12: Along coast to finish at John O’Groats
Please sponsor my challenge attempt in order to support these brave service people.
England Rugby have "given me" 2 tickets for the six nations match England V Ireland on 27th February 2010 in order to run a ballot for my fund raising efforts.
