Story
Hello!,
Thank you so much for visiting our page.
Four ladies, forty toenails, one mission:
To walk 100km (62.5 miles) in less than thirty hours, though hills, dales, swamps, bushes, sheep, scrag, gorse, mud, forest, grass, and a real life mountains (Pen -y- ghent). Also bog. Lots of bog and a few boulders.
Basically we start walking at seven in the morning in the Yorkshire Dales, and keep walking, come what may. All day, all night and again the next day. To give you a guide we are walking the equivalent of Manchester to Wolverhampton. All in one go (did we say that already?). Basically a very long way...............................indeed.....................................
Why on earth are we doing this. For an amazingly brillinat cause, raising money for Oxfam.
The £2000 we aim to raise as a Trailtrekker team will help oxfam to support people accross the globe to work their way out of poverty. The wonderful thing about your donation is that it REALLY will make a HUGE difference.
£24 will train a teacher, £8, will buy much needed school books. Help us to reach our target and £1700 will pay to build a classroom. We could do that together, right now. Pledge to build a classroom! Amazing!
This is a truly massive challenge for all of us. Training in between work, rearing children, and all the rest.
Last year, many people were unable to complete the challenge and a previous team member lost seven whole toenails!
We love our toenails, but are willing to sacrifice them and much more for this wonderful cause.
How much would you pay to keep you toenails this summer? How much would you sponsor someone do complete the London Marathon (we are going twice as far...and then some....)
Please give as much as you can afford and support this wonderful cause.
Many many thanks and and love from all of us.
Here come the Ladies
Jo, Kitty, Maria and Gosia.
