Story

Hello

Thanks for visiting Saddle Sore 09. Steve & Dan's fundraising page.

In the aid of charity we have decided to cycle 1000 miles from Hereford  to Santander , Spain, on the 11th july 2009. We will be cycling to raise money for  ST Michaels Hospice and the British red cross society based in Hereford. We aim to raise monies so that the charities can go on supporting our community in these financially testing times.

The Plan

Our plan of attack is to set off from Hereford 08:00 on the 11th July and make our way down to Plymouth, where we will depart via Ferry, to Roscoff, Northern France.

Once in France we will make our way down the Atlantic coast towards Northern Spain (taking in the sights and the local delicacies). Once negotiating the French / Spanish Border we will Skip across the pyrinees through San Sebastian, Bilbao and finally arriving (hopefully) into Santander around the 26th July. We will then take the 24 hour ferry from Santander to Portsmouth and aim to arrive back in Hereford on Wednesday 29th July.

This page is speciffically for the St Michael's hospice fund. If you would like to support both charities please go to the Red cross page at the following URL. http://www.justgiving.com/saddlesore09

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: St Michael's Hospice (Hereford) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.

Kind Regards

Dan and Steve
