We provide vital funding to support seafarers in need.

Story

The physical challenge involves us reaching 24 mountain peaks in the Lake District, all over 2,400 feet, in 24 hours walking time.  The walking distance is about 37 miles and total climb about 13,300 feet.

That is the easy part! The harder challenge (and this is where you come in) is to reach a minimum sponsorship target of £5,000.  We will scale the heights, but we need you to dig deep to help us reach that sponsorship target. Seafarers UK (the working name of King George's Fund for Sailors) is an extremely worthwhile and relevant charity to our industry which gives grants aimed at helping people from the Merchant Navy, Royal Navy, the fishing industry and their families.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate and raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
