As you will have read on Sam's fund-raising page, she does a great deal of work for Charity. This year's quiz raised £500, only to be stolen from her on her way to the bank.

Sam was good enough to give the money to GOSH out of her own pocket, even though it left her unable to go on holiday, so we put out a social media campaign out to get the money back by donations from the general public.

We've been absolutely blown away by everybody's generosity and willingness to help. Having now smashed the target in a matter of days, Sam is keen for anything raised above and beyond £500 to go straight to GOSH.

We're now closing the fundraising page so that any further donations can be sure to reach the charity in their full amount (Crowd-funding money raised through YouCaring and other similar sites is unfortunately subject to Paypal fees).

To everybody who helped Sam get her money back, in whatever part you played; whether you've liked, shared, commented or contributed money, you've all made a real difference and brought something truly wonderful to this otherwise heart-breaking story. I cannot thank you enough.
