Story

For the second year running a team of Hotcoursers and their family and friends will be running the British Military Fitness 10k run to raise money for the Hotcourses Foundation.

Last year the race involved getting up really early on an icy cold day and running up lots of hills and having to wade through freezing cold, muddy ponds, there was also a swimming pool full of hay involved for some bizarre reason. This year we're keeping our fingers crossed that it might be raining as well!!

The team is running to raise money for the Hotcourses Foundation which works to provide an education for Aids orphans in Kenya. It's a great cause and the Foundation is hoping to use the money raised to sponsor more educations and really make a difference to the lives of disadvataged children.

The runners are Peter Lynch, Graham Wood, Andrew Steadman, Simon Emmett, Pippa Gwynne-Jones, Ben Davies, Craig Washington, Mark Washington, Sarah Strangeways, Anna Gowdridge, Lee Hau, Andy Nice, Ben Wadsworth, Sarah Wadsworth, Marcella Collins, Marc Redl and Harry Dawson.

The Hotcourses Foundation was set up in 2004 to help fund the education of children in the developing world whose access to education was limited or non-existent. Its objective is to make a measurable, tangible difference to the lives of children in some of the poorest parts of the world. Initially it has focused on AIDS-orphans in Kenya and HIV positive young adults in Uganda.
