Story
Dear All,
Well it is over, and I managed to drag my sorry carcass round all 26.2 miles(26.45 on my GPS) in 4 Hours 35 Mins.
I couldn't have done this without the thought of all your generous donations to "Help for Heroes".
When I got to mile 18 and hit the wall, I was struggling, but I saw a H4H banner at the side of the road, this reminded me of why I was doing this, and the pain became a little easier knowing I was raising funds for a extremely worthy charity.
Many thanks to you all again for the donations and messages you sent, it really did help me and I am certain your monies will be put to very good use by H4H, looking after our boys and girls.
See you all again next year hopefully.
Best Wishes
Iain

As an ex serviceman (24 years) nothing could make me prouder that raising much needed money for this very deserving charity.
I have recenlty returned to running after a 2 year lay off due to having 2 operations on my spine, one which resulted in a titanium plate and screws holding my neck together. Nothing could inspire me more than running for H4H and helping those who need it so much serving both Queen and country.
Once you have donated, do visit the Help for Heroes website and see for yourself what is being done to help - www.helpforheroes.org.uk
