Story
For nearly six years now I have had the nick-name ‘Billy Whizz’ and I’ve finally decided to try and live up to it by completing the London Half Marathon in October 2008 on behalf of LEUKAEMIA RESEARCH.
I have never attempted such a feat before and thankfully I’m not doing it alone, my work mates Simon and Kym are also giving it a go.
Since making the decision to start running on that cold January morning earlier this year, the training has had its ups and downs, but now as I get into it I’m strangely starting to enjoy the whole experience!
I have no personal experience of anyone suffering from LEUKAEMIA, but I have lost family members to other types of Cancer and feel very strongly that people should do what they can to help fight it.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me. Leukaemia Research will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Please dig deep and thank you ever so much
