Story

There can't be many families untouched by cancer.  What you may not know is that moderate exercise is a great way to aid rehabilitation.  Not being very moderate  I'm heading off to Sweden for a bike ride.

Since 1966 the Vatternrundan has been held every year around Lake Vattern in Sweden. It now attracts 18,000 riders from all over the world. The total distance of the course is 300km (that's 186 miles in English money), which is completed in a maximum of 24 hours starting from 8pm on the Friday evening.

I am taking part as a team of 30 trying to raise some money on behalf of 'Cyclists Fighting Cancer'. You can find out more by visiting http://www.cyclistsfc.org.uk/about.html. We will be paying the full costs of taking part in the challenge so any money you donate will go directly to CFC. The training has started so please support Cyclists Fighting Cancer by sponsoring me on this marathon of marathons.

Many thanks

Ian
